چکیده
For a multi-component hydrocarbon mixture under supercritical conditions, the mechanism and criterion for transition of dominant mixing mode from evaporation to diffusion are not well established. In this paper, phase processes three-component fuel (5.3 wt% isooctane, 25.8 n-dodecane 68.9 n-hexadecane) droplets in sub- nitrogen environments were studied using molecular dynamics, comparison with those single-component n-hexadecane droplets. The initial diameters 25.5 nm (three-component) 26.5 (single-component), respectively. Based on quantitative Voronoi tessellation, new criterion, which was combination two dimensionless critical values Hc = 0.85 Wc 0.35, proposed determine during fuel-ambient gas mixing. Results indicated that when ambient pressure ranged 2 MPa 10 temperature 750 K 1200 K, density difference between vapor liquid decreased gradually increasing or decreasing temperature. And transitioned diffusion. Increasing did necessarily promote occurrence transition, while accelerated monotonically. Light components increased minimum diffusive zone. A major finding certain pressure, had only but also maximum.

Convective Burning of Gaseous Fuel Pockets and Supercritical Droplets
The present paper is concerned with combustion of an initially spherical kernel of cold fuel, which in a hot oxidizing atmosphere is suddenly put into motion. The investigations are within the framework of an axisymmetric geometry and the flame-sheet model. After a brief description of the aerodynamics of the burning process, including deformation and breakup of the fuel kernel, attention is fo...

متن کاملPhase transitions in supercritical explosive percolation.
Percolation describes the sudden emergence of large-scale connectivity as edges are added to a lattice or random network. In the Bohman-Frieze-Wormald model (BFW) of percolation, edges sampled from a random graph are considered individually and either added to the graph or rejected provided that the fraction of accepted edges is never smaller than a decreasing function with asymptotic value of ...

متن کاملDiameter effect on the heat transfer of supercritical hydrocarbon fuel in horizontal tubes under turbulent conditions
This article presented a numerical investigation of supercritical heat transfer of hydrocarbon fuel in a series of horizontal tubes with different diameters. It has been carried out by solving Reynolds averaging equations of mass, momentum and energy with the LS low-Reynolds number turbulence model using the pressure-based segregated solver based on the finite volume method. For the purpose of ...
